MGCC Announces Hires New Employees Bring Significant Financial Business Experience

BOSTON - Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC) is pleased to announce and welcome two recent employee hires.  Samir Rauf is a credit professional with 20 years of Commercial and Real Estate lending.  Stephen Spinney joins MGCC with 17 years of Commercial Banking in Massachusetts. The new hires will bolster MGCC’s work with small businesses across the Commonwealth.

Samir Rauf is a credit professional with 20 years of experience in various areas of Commercial and RE lending within Central Massachusetts. He has assumed various roles as Credit Officer, Credit Manager, Senior Analyst, and Portfolio Manager at United Bank, Commerce Bank, Westborough Bank, and TD Bank.

Steve Spinney joins MGCC with 17 years of commercial banking experience, having worked at both large corporate and community banks in central and eastern Massachusetts. In addition, Steve brings hands-on knowledge of business strategy and global operations gained from 23 years in technical sales, product, and marketing management roles at large and mid-sized corporations prior to his career in finance. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Syracuse University and completed executive development programs at Babson College, Columbia University and New England College of Finance. Steve has been involved in several youth organizations as a coach and mentor in Westford where he resides with his wife Marianne.
