Carmen Panacopoulos joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in April 2014 and is currently the relationship manager for financial institutions headquartered in Maine, Massachusetts (Suffolk, Essex and Middlesex County), New Hampshire, and Vermont. Prior to joining the Bank, Carmen worked in the Commercial Real Estate group at both JP Morgan Chase and RBS Citizens N.A. as a vice president and client/relationship manager. While at RBS Citizens, she held the market manager role within the community development group, where she also served as a member of the bank’s leadership team in Massachusetts. She also served as a senior community investment manager with FHLBBoston and as a senior asset manager with MassHousing. She has over 20 years of experience working in New England with for-profit and nonprofit developers in the creation and preservation of affordable housing.

Carmen is active in the community and serves on the board of the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC). She also served as an advisory board member with the New England College of Finance Financial Services Academy Board and is a former committee member of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation investment committee and the Northern New England Housing Investment Corporation. Carmen has been an advisory board member of the Action for Boston Community Development Hispanic Center advisory committee. She is also an affiliate member of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance & Accounting (ALPFA), Latino Professional Network, where she served as a board member, and the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce in Boston. She is an active member of the New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE) council and the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) in Boston.

Carmen earned a bachelor of science, with a dual concentration in finance and management, from North Adams State College and a master’s in business administration from Simmons College School of Management. She has completed higher education executive certificate programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Real Estate and at Northeastern University.
